Sad — you want to do a web page about your pet cat.

Sadder — you’re going to register a domain specifically for the cat.

Saddest — someone else got there first.

    on the subject of cats…

At work (first direct, the internet bank) i deal with the returned direct (junk) mail that we have sent out- application forms etc. Most of the time i just get people who aren’t interested just sending the application forms back, but sometimes i get mail sent back for more interesting reasons, e.g. because it was addressed to a dead person or five month old child. Two weeks ago I recieved a form that was sent back because we had mailed a cat. We, a division of HSBC, had offered a cat a 25 pound incentive to open an online bank account. I thought this was bad, but the week after I recieved an irate letter from a pet owner saying that we had mailed his cat and that, unfortunately, this cat was deceased and so would not be interested in opening an account. This cat was called Charles Landsworth.

How the hell does a cat get onto a mailing list?!?

More pertinently: how the hell does a cat get a name like Charles Landsworth? You should have written back to the owner asking if the death was suicide.
